Nope, not at all. I lived out in the middle of nowhere. Growing up, there were a couple of thefts of minor things, like bikes left outside. My next door neighbor committed suicide and there was a murder just up the road. The person murdered wasn't from our town though. She was babysitting for her sister and her estranged husband came and murdered her. Oh and we almost never locked our door at night.
